Government To Recruit 2000 TVET Instructors. In order to staff the 238 Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) colleges located around the nation, the government plans to hire an additional 2,000 instructors.
Ezekiel Machogu, cabinet secretary for education, claims that the hiring will bolster the colleges’ technical capabilities to help the students they have enrolled acquire a variety of technical and vocational skills.
The statements were made by Machogu on Friday during the commissioning of Chemasiri Technical and Vocational College in the Teso North Subcounty of Busia County.
The CS stated that in order to improve TVET colleges’ ability to train students, the government has hired 1,300 additional instructors, who would work alongside the current faculty.
According to him, the government is prioritizing TVET to enable young people acquire the practical skills necessary to support an economy that needs technical and vocational skills.
Additionally, Machogu mentioned that TVET colleges will provide youth with the internationally marketable abilities that Germany and other European nations demand.
