KCSE 2023 Results. The official dates for the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) tests have been released, along with information about the exam period and marking schedule.
The KCSE exams were taken by 903,260 candidates this year. The projects were supposed to be completed before the 2023 KCSE exams began, per the official calendar of events.
The projects had a January through July 2023 timeline. After that, there would be oral, practical, and theory papers for the KCSE.
These were to be completed between October 23, 2023, and November 24, 2023. These were all scheduled to take place in testing facilities.
The KCSE projects were overseen by Subject instructors, Center Managers, Directors of Education, and Knec representatives.
For the oral, practical and theory papers, Centre Managers, Supervisors, Invigilators, Quality Assurance Officers, Directors of Education and Knec officials were in charge.
The marking of the KCSE 2023 exams was scheduled to happen from 27th November to 11th December 2023 in Knec marking centres.
The marking of the exams is being done by KCSE Knec examiners. The final activity is releasing of the results.
This will be spearheaded by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu being assisted by top officials drawn from the Ministry of Education,Kenya National Examinations Council, Teachers Service Commission and Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development.
The releasing of the results will be done from 16th to 22nd December 2023 at Knec headquarters famously know as Mitihani House.
KCSE 2023 Results
A total of 234,473 teachers were used to administer this years national exams.
These are teachers who worked as exam supervisors, invigilators, centre managers and exam markers.
Already the KCPE exams were marked and results released to the public. However the marking of KPSEA and KCSE exams started and is currently ongoing.
At least 1,415,315 candidates sat for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams while a total of 1,282,574 candidates sat for their Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA).
