List Of TSC Teachers To Attend Promotion Interviews. Next month, TSC will begin conducting interviews for the promotion of 36,505 teachers who have reached a standstill in one job group.
Nancy Macharia, the Chief Executive Officer of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), has encouraged teachers to register for promotions and said that the interviews will begin on December 4.
Macharia apologized, pointing out that not many applications were drawn to previous promotional activities.
TSC Boss made this statement on Thursday at the annual conference of the Kenya Primary School Head Teachers Association (Kepsha) in Mombasa.
Macharia claims that of the 36,505 teachers who are up for promotion, 17,914 are elementary school instructors.
The promotions are likely to benefit some teachers had stagnated in one job group for over ten years.
Macharia further indicated that in the past,TSC failed to Commission to attract many teachers for for promotions even after lowering the requirements.
Macharia invited more applications now that the they have Sh1 billion for this exercise.
TSC boss also asked the teachers not to shy away from being given more responsibility.
During her speech, she revealed that there are also a total of 1,123 vacancies for teachers advertised in Coast, Rift Valley, North Eastern, Eastern, and Central regions which the unemployed teachers should apply for.

Macharia also gave a free advice to the unemployed teachers urging them not to shun their tendency to seek jobs in their counties.
The available slots that are yet to be filled with unemployed teachers are as follows:

🌽In Kajiado (5)
🌽In Samburu (9)
🌽In Turkana (31) counties.
According to the Teachers Service Commission, 17, 393 positions were posted.
Macharia added that although 2,126 positions in North Eastern were advertised, 795 of them remain unfilled. Garissa has 199 open positions, Mandera has 385, and Wajir has 211 open posts.
Macharia also revealed that TSC employed 10,542 people for 10,614 seats, leaving 72 open. Eight spots are still open: I. Isiolo and Marsabit 64.
TSC posted job advertisements for 4,607 positions in the coastal regions; however, 39 positions in Kwale County remain unfilled, while 46 positions in Lamu and 92 positions in Tana River are open.
