PSC Advertises 8000 Internship Opportunities For Graduates. Under the Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) Cohort 6, the Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced 8,000 internship positions for graduates.
The PSC claimed in a notice released on Tuesday, July 25, that the internship was applicable to numerous departments of government, including ministries.
Who is eligible for a monthly stipend will be decided under the Commission’s guidelines.
A government program called the Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) aims to teach graduates useful technical and professional skills as well as significant job experience in the public sector.
The duties of the interns include doing the tasks that they and their supervisors agreed upon, documenting the skills acquired during each deployment, and actively participating in pertinent mentorship activities and other program-specific tasks.

The Commission has stated that the strategy will be in effect for a full year (or 12 months).
Interested individuals must meet a number of criteria in order to be considered for the position.
A candidate for an internship position must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university, have graduated no earlier than the year 2017, and be proficient with computers, according to the notice

Interested parties should go to the PSC job application portal to submit their applications.
The Commission further stated that the selection process would be fair and that each application would be evaluated according to its qualifications.
The announcement part read, “Interested and qualified graduates are requested to make their applications through the Commission’s job portal accessible through www.publicservice.go.ke or www.psckjobs.go.ke.”
Early on the Public Service Commission had announced 50 job vacancies for applications. The available vacancies were for grab as many people applied exceeding the available vacancies.
