TSC Publishes A List Of Teachers Who Will Miss Salaries. The Teachers service commission recently employed more than 35000 teachers into junior secondary school.
Some of the teachers were hired under permanent and pensionable terms while others were hired under internship terms. Each and every school hosting junior secondary school got at least a teacher to assist in competency based curriculum implementation.
When teachers report to their new stations, they are usually given a signed casualty form, that is both physical and an online one as proof they have reported to their stations. It is sad news that quite a number of teachers have not received their salaries since they reported to their work stations in March and February.
The commission that employs teachers has released a list of the teachers who are set to miss salary for failure to meet some employment requirements. The said list features a huge number of recently employed teachers, who haven’t received their salaries so far for failing to submit online their casualties.

As per TSC regulations, any newly employed teacher must have their casualty form filled by the principal of the institution. Once the casualty form is duly filled, it is then sent to the TSC headquarters for appointment of the said teacher into the payroll.
Once the teacher is employed and receives their employment letter, they are obliged to ensure they report to their new work stations before 2 weeks elapse. Thereafter, the institution head should submit their casualty form and ensure it is sent to the TSC headquarters as per the TSC employment guidelines.
If the casualty form is not filled and sent to the TSC headquarters, the teacher will not be added into the payroll and will automatically miss salaries. Most of the affected teachers are interns hired in January 2023 into junior secondary schools countrywide.
Most of the teachers who have so far missed salaries have issues with some missing documents in their files. Additionally, it could be some details were not properly filled .
For the teachers to be added on payroll, they must make a follow up and ensure all their documents are in order. The list of the affected teachers can be accessed on the official TSC website.
