TSC Pending Transfers Per County. With the start of teacher transfers in bulk, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) hopes to reroute delocalized teachers before the start of the next school year.
Information from the Commission’s headquarters states that requests for regional and interregional transfers are being processed in order to facilitate transfers in December and early January.
Teachers are transferred across counties in the same region at the regional level.These transactions are governed by TSC Regional Directors.
Teachers must get their transfers approved by TSC transfer boards at the national level in order to relocate to counties outside of their stationed region.
A total of 26,871 educators are making an effort to go back to their native counties.
The teachers’ previous attempts at mass transfers were unsuccessful due to a lack of suitable places.
46,926 elementary and secondary school teachers had asked to be returned to their home counties as of June 30.

However, just 20,055 had been moved.
The commission verifies that there is a vacancy at the requested station and that there is a qualified replacement at the station a teacher is leaving before approving a transfer request.
CS Education According to Article 43 of the Constitution, Ezekiel Machogu underlined the TSC’s duty to guarantee the equal distribution of teachers and their best use in public basic education institutions in order to provide high-quality instruction.
According to the CS, educators who want to move across schools have to submit a request,
directed by maximum use and fair distribution.
Other transfer criteria include the:
- availability of openings in the proposed station,
- the necessity for replacement,
- current staffing rules,
- medical reasons, and
- any other factors that the TSC deems relevant.
Delocalized instructors can check the status of their applied transfers on the online TSC transfer application portal.
Successful teachers are required to pick up their transfer letters at TSC County offices and report to their new station in January.
